Before we picked up cameras, Aaron had been an Army Officer and spent a career serving overseas, while Samantha was pursuing a career in fashion following her title and public service as Miss Pennsylvania. We were two creatives, passionate about spreading love through art and traveling the world. This was often the topic of our time-zone sensitive conversations, as most of our relationship was long-distance. What helped nurture our love through this challenging time was reminiscing through the photographs we had with each other, and reliving their stories.

Our long period of separation ended with an incredible wedding in a small, intimate barn in rural Pennsylvania. The celebration of love moved us so much that we decided it would be worth dropping our previous career paths and dedicating our lives to sharing this experience with others. We had the travel experience, but didn’t know if we had the artistic talent to make it work. It was time to take a risk on our dreams, and pursue a creative venture, together.

And thus, Midnight Sol Photography was born. Sun and Moon, as man and woman, who no matter where on earth they are, share the same warmth and light.

As photographers, we find inspiration in the beauty that God has placed all around us. We believe that love is a divine gift, and we aim to reflect its purity and joy through every heartfelt moment we capture. By blending the wonders of creation with the emotions shared between two people, we create images that celebrate both the love we witness and the world we’re blessed to photograph.
